Bonjour à tous,

Je viens de remettre en route ma M5 E34 après 1 mois de vacances. La batterie étant naze je l'ai changé et j'arrive pas à mettre l'obd en français. Déjà à quoi correspond la touche "check" sur la version allemande.

Par contre j'ai aussi un vrai problème. Alors que le garage est sec, il m'indique 2 mots en allemand oelstand motor & betriebsanleitg. A priori le premier mot m'indique un niveau d'huile insuffisant, je vais faire mes niveaux pour que tout rentre dans l'ordre. Mais que veut dire le deuxième mot ? Je pense que je dois avoir la sonde qui merde qu'en pensez vous ?

Merci DHL, donc rien de grave à priori. Si mes niveaux sont ok je vais faire changer cette sonde parce qu'elle doit divaguer. Pour le mise en français, tu sais sur quel bouton appuyer sur l'obd ?

Tout à fait mais je voulais le faire ce week end. Sinon pas trouver grand chose, je sais pas quel bouton il faut valider. Sinon j'ai fait les niveaux, mis 1L de Castrol RS et le défaut a disparu.

Dans l'moteur... L'huile fraiche pour les M5 c du Sauterne...

Tout à fait la M5 bouffe un peu d'huile surtout quand elle est très fluide mais c'est tout à fait normal.

D'ailleurs je l'ai pris tout à l'heure et fais un peu d'autoroute, elle marche toujours très fort. Elle me cause toujours allemand donc si quelqu'un peut m'expliquer la manip ( comme on l'expliquerait à un enfant de 5ans ) ça serait cool

Next, you need to set the country setting for language, miles/km, C/F and l/100Km / Km/l. - To do this you need to access the OBC test menu by simultaneously pressing the 1000 and 10 keys so that the display changes to "TEST". With the 10 & 1 keys enter 11 on the display and then press the S/R button. "0 LAND" should now be on the display and you can alter this by using the 1000 & 100 keys and the S/R to save. The settings are from "0 LAND" to "9 LAND" and through trial and error you should be able to find the setting that is best for you

Get in car, close all doors and turn key to "on" without starting the engine. Press trip reset
****on until correct language displays. Continue holding reset ****on until the display has finished
showing the software version numbers, then release it.

here is how to do it on E34:

1) Get into the test mode and unlock the OBC following the instructions in my original message.
2) Goto Test 10.
3) By default, the country code is set to "LAND:0 D" which is Deutschland.
4) Scroll though other countries by pressing "1". US is country code "LAND:2 USA" for example.
5) When you see the country you want, press the "S/R" key to set it.
6) Press the check key to test.

Note: When you set it to USA or UK, you will probably get the British Measurements. If you prefer metric ones (Km, Km/hr, Ltr. etc.) like I do, you will have to set each display separately. But you don't have to be in the test mode for that.

Ca c pour toi et tes messages:

Do you know if it is possible to change the warning display language (ie the messages which appear above the service indicator lights on the dashboard, such as 'Handbrake On' 'Low Oil Pressure' etc - the default is German - can it be changed to other languages?).

That is piece of cake.

You have to do this:

1. Turn the ignition key to position one (first click).

2. Push and hold down the cc button (right one).

3. After 5-10 seconds in the cc display will appear a language name. If you want this language turn off the ignition and it is done. If you don´t want this language go again to step 2...

P.S: be patient, there are lot of languages... also English UK and English US

How to lock and unlock the OBC:

To unlock the OBC, first press the date key, and add the month and day together. So, if the date is displayed as "0704", the result is "11".

Go to test 19 by pressing the 1000 and 10 buttons together, and then typing in the test number (19)·

You will see the word "LOCK" displayed. Type in the result from step 1 above, and press S/R·

If you display test 19 again, it will now display "FREI", indicating the system is now unlocked.
